Three Ways to SolvingTraffic Congestion in Cambodia
To be honest, in this technological
evolution, the world dramatically changes. Scientists and experts have been attempting to generate the ideas so that they are able to invent quite a lot of useful stuffs such as motorcycles and cars and
so forth for the sake of people. With this reason, the growing number of cars
and motorcycles in Phnom Penh drastically leads to the terrifying traffic congestion. Actually,
we still have solutions to cope with it. With respect to my sense of understanding, three rational solutions are supposed to be effectively tactful, in terms of handling the traffic.
First and foremost, public
transportation should be widely provided to people living in the city. In fact, there
are quite a lot of people residing in the city, they normally commute from one place to another to
work for their careers; therefore, when they drive their cars to work
individually, the number of vehicles will be tremendously maximized on the roads so that it leads to the
big chaos. However, if public transportation is available to them, it would be
easy for them to take on, and they will save much money as well. Likewise, the
traffic will be reduced.
In addition, roads should be
highly standardized and widened. As I see, almost all the main roads in Phnom Penh
are very narrow; it is really hard for people to transport. More than that,
some roads are blocked by people selling their products or goods along the edge of the
streets. As a result, it looks so bad and untidy. Hence, the traffic jam is
supposed to be crowded, and people cannot avoid it.
Last but not least, the city must
offer the traffic light on the intersection. Very honestly speaking, traffic light is very
indispensable. It plays a very key role in reducing traffic jam without any
great help from people, for it works 24 hours per day and 7 days per week. In reality, people will simultaneously drive across the intersection from every side of the intersection, and it causes to the mess; this very pressing problem truly makes the traffic more chaotic and perplexing. Nevertheless, provided that the traffic light is well equipped, people will respect and heed it, and the traffic congestion is no longer the issue to be concerned about.
To make it short, in
order to effectively cope with the issue on traffic jam in Cambodia, people
should join hand in hand and comply with the law passed. Repeatedly, the
three significant aspects mentioned above are very important that authorities and
the government should put it into account and develop the city to be a better place to live.
From my point of view,
there are so many people complaining about the traffic congestion in Cambodia these days since it
makes them go to work late, and sometimes they are blamed and fired. It seems
illogical, but it is real. Cambodia has been under this bad situation for
years; nevertheless, it still cannot be solved, and it gets deteriorated day by day
and year by year.
